Stanley Cup fever: Oilers games watch spots in Morinville!

Updated: Jul 24, 2025

It’s deja vu all over again, hockey fans. The Edmonton Oilers are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals for a rematch with the Florida Panthers. This time we want fireworks, not heartbreak; so get out the good luck charms and start building your basement shrines.

But let’s talk logistics: where are you watching? Because yelling at your dog from the couch is just going to give him anxiety. You need a hockey crowd to bond with through the highs and lows. You need screens. You need wings.

For the goals, groans, gasps, and (hopefully) glory—here are some great local Oilers game watch spots, including one that lines up really well for Father’s Day.

Boston Pizza in Morinville isn’t just for family dinners. Slide into the lounge during game nights and you’ll find Oilers fans of all shapes and sizes glued to the big screens. The food’s predictable in the best way: pizza, wings, and the occasional game-day drink special. Show up early — on game nights, the place fills up faster than McDavid on a breakaway.

A little gritty, a lot friendly, this Morinville hangout is usually full of locals to cheer and groan right alongside you. Plus, if you’re not the type to sit glued to the commentary between periods, you can shoot a game of pool while you wait for the action to start back up. Grab a beer, order some nachos, and settle in. This place knows how to appreciate hockey.

So you’re not 18, but watching the game in your basement (again) sounds like a hard no?

We got you.

Crunchyz is small but fun — bright murals, booth seating, and TVs at both ends so you’re not craning your neck like a weirdo. Grab a cheeseburger for $8.50 or a donair starting at ten bucks. And yes, obviously there are wings.

Solid food. Chill vibe. Great spot to catch the game with your friends (in the Shell station by A&W)

If your game-watching vibe leans more dive-bar-meets-hometown-pride, Rednex is your jam. It’s got the screens, the wings, great drink deals, and a few regulars who’ve probably been yelling at refs since the ‘80s. Grab your drink, order some wings, and get ready to join the chorus of "SHOOT!!" every time the Oilers touch the puck.

One to watch. The Legion sometimes hosts community watch parties or game nights — and they’re a great time when they do. Check their Facebook page or ask a member. Drinks are cheap, the vibe’s solid.

No guarantees of a game this night, but if there is, it'll be AWESOME. The timing is perfect - you'll be able to watch a live stream of the game during Happy Hour and the Gourmet Burger Bar feast, then blow off steam after with some high-voltage rock. The following day is Father's Day, (just sayin').

Hosting from Home?

Not heading out? No worries. Throw on your jersey, grab your lucky charms, load up on snacks or order in - try local delivery app Jump the Line) and invite the crew over.
