Early spring in Morinville is stacking up some big “see you there” events, so get out your pens, mark your calendars and plan to be part of them!

International Women’s Day Celebration: Raise Her Glass

March 6: Morinville Community Cultural Centre

The International Women’s Day “Raise Her Glass” celebration blends market vibes, hands-on workshops, and inspiring stories from local women into one uplifting night. With food and entertainment, of course.

The market opens at 4:30 pm, with time to eat, visit, and shop before workshop sessions begin. Attendees choose two sessions from these themed experiences:

  • Raise Her Vibration – This guided creative workshop helps you to reflect, dream, and envision your future.

  • Raise Her Glass – Mocktails are hot! In this workshop, you will shake, stir, and sip delicious alcohol-free creations in a relaxed social setting

  • Raise Her Roots – What could make you more ready for sring than a flower arranging workshop led by expert florists from The Flower Stop?

  • Raise Her Creativity – Get in touch with your inner artist with a guided crafting session.

After the workshops, the market and social time continue, followed by inspirational stories from local women and performances by local talent.

This event is celebration, connection, and creative energy — one to remind you how many amazing women live, work, and build things, right here in town. Come out and connect with them!

  • More Than Meets the Spore – A fascinating dive into Sturgeon County mushrooms and how fungi support soil health.

  • Kind of a Big Dill: Mastering Pickling Basics – Food preservation rooted in tradition, safety, and professional kitchen experience.

You might have your own acreage or you might just be curious about living a little more self-sufficiently. Either way, this is a fun, healthy  – and useful! –  way to spend a Saturday.

Swing into Spring Show & Sale

April 25 & 26 - Morinville Leisure Centre

We’re wrapping up the season with a community cornerstone: Morinville’s biggest annual celebration of local business. The two-day Swing into Spring Show & Sale transforms the MLC arena into a sprawling showcase of local entrepreneurs, contractors, and market finds (plus a family fun zone - bring the kids).

It’s a long-time community favourite — part trade show, part market, part “I didn’t know we had that here.”

More details will roll out as we get closer to the dates, but you should definitely have this on your radar.
